Feeling Blessed...

I've been thinking about my family a lot lately and how truly fortunate I am. Sometimes I wish that we all lived closer to each other and had schedules that allowed regular family meals and times to catch up. Since that isn't the case, I will just have to be satified with reflecting on what wonderful people I have in my life:

My Mom - She is caring and compassionate. She is the only one that I talk to on a daily basis and the person I share all my ups and downs with. She has been completely supportive in everything I have done.

My Dad - He is the definition of altruistic (unselfishly concerned for or devoted to the welfare of others), especially when it comes to my kids. He is generous and has always made me feel completely spoiled by his love and support.

My Brother Michael - I always remembering arguing with Michael growing up, then shortly after I graduated, we had this epiphany. I think it was then that we realized we both wanted a better relationship. I have always admired his devotion . . . to the Lord, to our family and especially to his wife. He is a very loyal person.

My Brother Mark - I actually never remember arguing with Mark (my parents may remember differently), maybe it's because I was a bit bossy and he always just did what I wanted. He has the best sense of humor out of everyone I know. He has grown into a very honorable man and I know he is going to make an absolutely wonderful husband to Kristy.

My Sister-in-Law Katie - She is a very kind person who truly cares about those around her. She is steadfast. She is considerate. She is the person that never forgets a birthday and always sends Thank you cards. I am so thankful to her for being such a loyal wife to my brother.

My Soon-to-Be SIL Kristy - Kristy has an absolutely amazing personality. She is enthustiastic and simply put...fun. I'm so glad that she will be joining our family, she will make the perfect addition and give us that extra boost of energy that has been slowly fading out of me. She is a virtuous woman. She must also be crazy as she has agreed to accompany Me, P & J on our trip to Disney World in October. There is not a doubt in my mind that she will make a wonderful wife to Mark.

What makes all of these people even better is their faithfulness to the Lord.

I am so blessed!

I agree with your mom. I love the perspectives you have of people. I totally have forgotten birthdays before....

P.S. I saw a Kristi post on a certain blogger's comment page. It was firm, but honest. Do you know who did that? :)

P.S.S. If you are completely lost, forget it.

Thanks guys...my intention was not to seek compliments.

Katie - Yes I do happen to know who made the comment and I was hoping that it would not offend anybody (that I cared about). Both first & last names were used, because I firmly believe if you are going to be "anonymous" then there is no reason to say anything at all. The blog owner only decided to use the first name, which is fine (probably better). Hope I didn't step on any toes!

Thanks sis. I love you too. I could write a 5 page ode to your "awesomeness" and probably will sometime.

Kristy - I know. For a while I was calling you my brother's soon-to-be fiance. Now I'm calling you my soon-to-be SIL - and I still have 6 1/2 months left of that! I think if you manage to survive me & the boys at WDW then you should get the title of "honorary SIL" at least until March!

Thanks sis! Like Michael said i could write a long paper about how cool you are... but for now i'll just keep it simple: Thanks for being a great sister and an even better mother for my nephews.
